PROGRAM MANAGER DISABILITY SERVICES

Full Time - 12 month contract with potential to go permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Program Manager to hit the ground running and lead our growing Disability Services Program.

Macarthur Diversity Services Initiative (MDSI) is a not-for-profit charity that offers practical help and support services to the disadvantaged and marginalised. Our Disability Services Program has experienced rapid growth in our target area of Southwest Sydney. Our program consists of a portfolio of services including Support Coordination, Day Programs, Disability Employment Services, Individualised Services, Short Term Accommodation and Community Access.

About the Role

As the Program Manager, you will be tasked with overseeing and successfully managing a team of staff to develop and run a portfolio of services that fall within our Disability Services program. This is a unique opportunity that offers a hands-on management role from overseeing the day-to-day operations of the program to developing and implementing strategic financial and operational initiatives. Your liaison skills will see you developing service agreements with participants and families as well as build our program through new and existing community networks.

You will have multiple accountabilities across your function including providing leadership, direction and accountability for your team and for the service delivery of our programs, whilst ensuring that the quality and performance of our services is in line with the NDIS framework.

Initially we are offering a 12 month fixed term contract with the potential for extension or permanent position for the right person.

ROSTERING ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

Full Time: 35 hours per week

Our Disability Services Program has experienced rapid growth in our target area of Southwest Sydney. Our program consists of a portfolio of services including Support Coordination, Day Programs, Disability Employment Services, Individualised Services, Short Term Accommodation and Community Access.

About the role

As the Rostering Administration Officer, you will be the central point of contact for staff rostering and participant servicing queries.  You will coordinate staff work rosters with client schedules to ensure rostering is logistically sound and meets both staff and client needs.  Using your fantastic communication skills, you will liaise with a variety of stakeholders, including fellow teammates, management, participants and service providers to manage our referrals and process queries.  Your brilliance at multi-tasking will come in handy as you reconcile financial documentation, manage bookings for vehicles and meetings, answer incoming calls and coordinate ad-hoc scheduling issues as they arise.  Your strong attention to detail and skill at IT will be called upon as you maintain various client management systems including PRODA, rostering timesheet systems.

About you

A minimum of 1 year experience in rostering or work scheduling is essential for this position.  Past high-level administrative experience is needed. Knowledge of the disability services sector and an understanding of how the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) works would be advantageous.  Your flair for using IT programs, PRODA, Rostering Systems including Polixen and the Microsoft Office suite will be beneficial.

START RIGHT EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR

Part Time: 25 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced Early Childhood Educator with a strong commitment to inclusive early childhood practice and social justice. The role is located in Campbelltown.

Based on an integrated service delivery system MDSI’s programs are specifically tailored through five broad service areas: children, youth, family, aged and disability.

About the Role

The role of the Start Right Early Childhood Educator is to provide quality early childhood education to disadvantaged or socially isolated children and parents in the Campbelltown local government area. The position is responsible for designing and delivering the Start Right Early Childhood Education Program. 

The Program will use a parent focus supported playgroup approach, providing valuable play experiences as a foundation for learning while building a cohesive group for peer support and connections. The Program will develop the skills of parents to build their child’s early literacy and numeracy skills. It will be delivered through a centre in Campbelltown and outreaches in Airds and North Campbelltown.

We are looking for a passionate Peer Support Worker to assist our Early Childhood Educator with supported playgroups for zero to three year olds.

DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKERS

MDSI seeks to ensure that our organisation and our services are relevant and accessible. Based on an integrated service delivery system MDSI’s programs are specifically tailored through five broad service areas: children, youth, family, aged and disability.

MDSI Disability Services is recruiting Disability Support Workers for its NDIS disability services in community access, in-home supports and Short Term Accommodation services. You will be involved in a growing quality service that provides NDIS support services to people with a disability in the Macarthur and South West Sydney region.

We are seeking experienced disability support workers who have qualifications in disability services and/or experience as a Carer of a person with a disability.

Please note: Our Disability Services are delivered on a 24/7 roster model which includes sleepovers, weekend and public holiday shift.  These positions are for Casual on-call appointments to provide in-home domestic assistance, personal care and supporting community access or in a short term accommodation setting.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record and Working with Children Check.

BOARD OF DIRECTOR POSITIONS

Macarthur Diversity Services Initiative Ltd. (MDSI) is a not-for-profit charity based in Campbelltown, NSW that offers practical help and support services to people who are disadvantaged and marginalised. MDSI seeks to ensure that our organisation and our services are relevant and accessible. Based on an integrated service delivery system, MDSI’s programs are specifically tailored through five broad service areas: children, youth, family, aged and disability.

MDSI is currently seeking Expressions of Interest for potential Board members to fill three vacant positions on the MDSI Board and/or on Board Committees, including a Finance and Audit Committee and Marketing Committee. These positions would be filled on a voluntary basis for up to a three year term.

Directors would be expected to actively participate in bi-monthly Board meetings, an annual Strategy Workshop, as well as contributing to a Committee or additional work within the scope of the role of the Board and suiting the Board member’s expertise.

The MDSI Board provides governance and strategic direction for the operation of the organisation on behalf of members under the requirements and provisions of the Corporations Act (2001) and the Company’s Constitution.

The Board has particular focus on legal compliance; policy and planning; financial oversight; and CEO management. MDSI is currently seeking a greater emphasis on candidates with skills and experience in financial management; commercial acumen and business development in the current vacant positions.
